Over 40 years experience in the housing industry

Ian started working in the house building industry as an apprentice Carpenter over 47 years ago and has held a managerial role for several of the largest national house builders for 41 of those years at a senior level for over 20 years.

Over this time, Ian has amassed a wealth of knowledge and a practical understanding of the industry, having achieved numerous qualifications, including NHBC, Pride in the Job Awards, along with other industry accolades, and qualifications (CEnv, FCIOB, MCABE, MAPM) and recently becoming a member of the Residential Property Surveyors association ensuring our credibility.

Having seen a continual decline within the house building industry, particularly, how quality, standards and materials have deteriorated, partly due to a lack of trades and the volume of newly built houses increasing in line with government numbers.

Ian made the decision in 2018 to set up his own professional snagging company. Having professionally snagged newly built houses for 41 years, he has the knowledge and experience to ensure newly built house buyers protect their investments and give peace of mind.

We pride ourselves on honest reporting, ensuring the defects we find are rectified by your builder. We do not inflate our reports with issues that are not going to be fixed.

We’re Expanding

Due to the demands of the housing market and the ongoing poor quality of newly built homes across the UK, in 2021 the decision was made to open a new office in Bristol which will be managed by Sean Lively.

The opening of this office allows Lively Professional Services to provide professional snagging services across the South West of the UK. This includes counties such as Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Monmouthshire.

Sean has a background in design and has run his own successful business in Bristol for over eight years working with small to medium sized businesses in the local area.

Having a great eye for detail and a desire to ensure you enjoy your new home to the fullest, Sean has gained the knowledge & experience to carry out snagging surveys and will begin carrying out snagging inspections in August 2022.
